The Role

Our Legal Bookkeepers are the beating heart of the organization, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of all our clients. With new clients secured every month, you’ll never have a quiet day as a legal bookkeeper.

For this Legal Bookkeeper role, we will be looking for you to have the following:

  • Strong numerical, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work well independently or within a team and meet deadlines
  • Strong IT literacy (Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • A desire to learn quickly and work hard in a fast-paced business
  • 2+ years Legal Bookkeeping experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • An understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and ledger-based accounting

The following are also desirable:

  • Experience working in a busy law firm environment
  • Experience working with multiple accounting software packages

Successful candidates will undertake the following duties:

  • Maintain accurate general ledger and client matter-based accounting.
  • Manage and reconcile Trust IOLTA accounts in compliance with state bar rules.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Record client payments, retainers, and expense reimbursements in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Month End processes
  • Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff to ensure timely and compliant financial processes.

At Cashroom, our mission is to free lawyers from the complexities of Legal Accounting. We provide outsourced legal bookkeeping, management accounting and other business process consultancy services to Law Firms exclusively.

Cashroom have grown significantly over the last 10 years and now have 250 law firm clients and 120 members of staff. We have now established the business in the USA, servicing a number of clients across Nebraska and, we are looking for individuals who are excited by the opportunity to be part of a fast paced, forward thinking, innovative organization with the ability to be part of our growth in the USA from an early stage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $45,000.00 per year
